On Saturday, July 19th, NAMES celebrated our 12th birthday. Twelve years ago on April 15, 1996, NAMES GED School opened its doors in a church five blocks from our current location on Morrison Road. Since that eventful week, we have had 249 graduates and we've helped over 1,200 students improve their academic skills.
When we first opened twelve years ago, we had two small classrooms: one had no windows and the other had no heat. However, those students had the vision and the heat from their determined passion to pass the GED. Over the last 12 years, our students have carried forward this passion for attaining their education.
