Holiday Party at NAMES

We had a great turnout at our holiday party in December. Thank you to Joy who rounded up a ton of generous gifts from her church that Santa was able to distribute to our students. Happy Holidays!

NAMES has a new look!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Cheri Sparks from A Painting Company in Denver. She volunteered several days and many long hours of her time to help us completely transform the outside of our building. She also provided us with the crucial painting equipment to allow us to get the job done. Please keep her company in mind if you are needing indoor or outdoor painting services. NAMES's Garden Restoration Project

With the help of Carlotta Espinoza, NAMES has transformed our garden area with a beautiful mural that incorporates the most important animals to those at NAMES. Thank you to those who donated to this cause and to those who helped us paint all of the beautiful animals.

NAMES Graduation Ceremony - June 25th, 2008

On Wednesday, June 25th, 2008, NAMES celebrated its graduation for the 2007 - 2008 school year. We honored 14 students who passed all five of the GED tests and three students who received certificates of accomplishment. Over 100 people attended the ceremony which included an Italian-style dinner. The welcoming and honoring songs were sung by Kadijatu Jalloh and Lonnie McCabe, and special recognition was payed to Monique Duran who received the 2008 Morning Star Medicine Wheel Way of Learning Award for finishing in the top ten percent of the country for her extremely high GED scores.

Congratulations to all 2007-2008 graduates and thank you to all of those who attended this year's graduation.
