PROM 2009

On Friday, May 8th, NAMES held its first Prom here at the school. It was a huge success, and by the end of the night, nobody tried to hide from the dance floor. Thanks to everyone for coming and a special thanks to Sherifa's family, Derek and Mariah's family, and Miranda's family for decorating, cleaning up, and donating so much food and supplies. Also, thank you to Quijote's Restaurant for all of the delicious food that you donated. You all made this a very special event for everyone.

Art Day with Joy

On March 11th, Joy hosted another Art Day where students wrote about and illustrated a picture depicting the NAMES, humor. We had a fun pizza lunch and some of the students had Joy paint their faces.

Soup Luncheon at NAMES

On Tuesday, February 3rd, NAMES had a Soup Luncheon in order to raise some fast-funds. Students, volunteers, and staff members created an array of soups, breads, and desserts for community members who were hungry for a warm and delicious lunch. Thanks to all attended our first Soup Luncheon! Be on the look-out for similar FUN-raisers in the future...

Holiday Party at NAMES

We had a great turnout at our holiday party in December. Thank you to Joy who rounded up a ton of generous gifts from her church that Santa was able to distribute to our students. Happy Holidays!

NAMES has a new look!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Cheri Sparks from A Painting Company in Denver. She volunteered several days and many long hours of her time to help us completely transform the outside of our building. She also provided us with the crucial painting equipment to allow us to get the job done. Please keep her company in mind if you are needing indoor or outdoor painting services. NAMES's Garden Restoration Project

With the help of Carlotta Espinoza, NAMES has transformed our garden area with a beautiful mural that incorporates the most important animals to those at NAMES. Thank you to those who donated to this cause and to those who helped us paint all of the beautiful animals.
